Mayweather Clan: "Oscar One Handed Fighter.."

According to the transcript obtained by BoxingScene.com of the first telephone conference with PBF and DLH - Mayweather Sr. has told his son that he considers De La Hoya a "one handed fighter."

Now that Mayweather Jr. and Sr. are reunited and reportedly working together in the gym in preparation for May 5th; how will this affect Oscar and his prospects?

Is it damaging at all to Oscar, that his former trainer may be feeding Floyd direct insight on him as a fighter - and to what extent?

It can't be a good thing..

    What a forum..

This is an ANGLE - ain't it?

Or does it mean nothing that Mayweather Sr. has been with Oscar for the last however many years, and knows possibly almost everything about him as a fighter?

Does it mean nothing that Mayweather Sr. could be sharing private details of Oscar's skillset and regimen with his son now that they are reunited?

As I said; that cannot be good for Oscar.

One more thing, potentially, he has going against him.

I, myself - am really starting to like Floyd's chances..

This isn't good at all, Floyd's been Oscar's trainer for a while now.. he knows his weaknesses, and he's going to teach his son how to exploit them.

It's really wrong of father Mayweather, I'd like to have seen how it would have played out with Mayweather Sr. in Oscar's corner.

Addison, Oscar is not a one-handed fighter. He's knocked a bunch of guys out with his right. I think he'll land the straight right on Mayweather and push him back if not kd him.

This is just publicity. Everyone knows Oscar can punch with both hands. He has ridiculous power with his left at this stage and weight, but his right is hardly bad.

Remember last year somone was making threads saying Wlad had no right and was a converted southpaw? His next two fights were right-handed KOs.

Oscar has bigger problems then Senior and what insight he may be able to provide.

Floyd is easily the most talented fighter in the sport, Oscar has never faired well against fighters who could match or exceed his speed. This is Oscar's dilemma, Senior would like you all to think he has something valuable to offer but I think reality is something quite different.

I also at some point in the next month or so expect to hear some trouble in the Mayweather camp with Senior, Junior and Roger all working otgether if in fact those rumors are true. Senior has a bigger ego then Junior and that is not supposed to be possible, eventually Junior will do what he did years ago and tell his dad thanks but no thanks we only have room for 1 king in this gym!

No one wants Oscar to win as badly as I do but I would be very surpised to see him beat Junior, Senior is not the issue, he wants to be and Lil Floyd is going to get tired of it eventually.

Im sick of the pre-fight bull****.

The Mayweathers never have anything interesting to say. I think everyone knows all the issues involved in this fight.

Maybe i should shut up. Ignore me.

              I totally agree.

This is a massive theoretical liabilty for Oscar.

At least, if anything potentially - a physcological one.

I'm going to fair and honest here and say I'm not very confident at all of Oscar's prowess with the right hand or his punching power with it.

Many of us should remember all the references to his intended need to improve the right hand over the years, and Mayweather Sr.'s alleged efforts to help him enhance it.

It's always been considered his weakness on offense.

Exactly what I was saying weeks ago. Oscar shouldn't have agreed to fight if he had an idea that Sr was gonna decide to help Floyd Jr. I'm sure Mayweather Sr. knows Oscar's real weaknesses and what he doesn't like.

Obvioulsy these are just verbal shots, which Floyd does all the time so I don't see the big deal.

well Floyd Sr could have never be DHL trainer even before he priced himself out to add up the hype in an interview in Soul of Champion he talks good about his son and say his son legacy where it going to be.

and I dont think he is going to take his dream away it conflit of interst he is still his father even after 100 year coming and there is sometimes still some parenthood feeling in him to give him the best and he want to see his son the best.
