World Boxing Magazines Most Overrated & Underrated Boxers

I got the World Boxing Magazine the other day and they had an article about the most overrated and underrated boxers. They have an overrated and underrated boxer from HW to flyweight. Here they are.

SMW: (Over) Peter Manfredo Jr, (Under) Mikkel Kessler
MW: (Over) Jermain Taylor, (Under) Sakio Bika
JMW: (Over) John Duddy, (Under) Roman Karmazin
WW: (Over) Antonio Margarito, (Under) Sergei Dzinziruk
JWW: (Over) Ricy Hatton, (Under) Junior Witter
LW: (Over) Diego Corrales, (Under) Joel Casamayor
Feather Weight: (Over) Edwin Valero, (Under) Steve Moliter
Flyweight: (Over) Irene Pacheco, (Under) Vic Darchinyan.

Some of them i agree with and some I don't. I was wondering what your guys opinion of this is.

I’ve yet to come across anyone who’s underrated Kessler, Casamayor and Darchinyan and overate Manfredo Jr.

completly disagree with bell being overrated.
agree with manfredo and hatton being overrated, and with vic being underrated.

i thought that miranda was gonna be on the overrated of the mw....but they are right, he is not overrated =D

Yeah i agree with you about Bell. They said it was because he is inactive, stiff, unimaginative, and gets hit too often. And at 32 he is unlikely to learn any new tricks.

I disagree with the majority of this list

O'Neil Bell: Nobody is overrating him. Hes a good champion and a very exciting fighter. Just because people look forward to a Bell fight, doesnt mean they overrate him.

Peter Manfredo Jr.: OVERATED?!?!?! I've heard nothing but bad things about this guy. He is more underrated then Kessler, who is EXTREMELY OVERATED!

Vic Darchinyan: I havent heard one negative thing about this guy. Very good prospect, but how in the world is he underrated?

Ricky Hatton: The opposite of Darchinyan, I havent heard one GOOD thing about this guy outside of Jim Lampley and the UK. UNDERRATED


The rest of the list i pretty much agree with. Even the Diego Corrales thing, because Corrales has lost 2 in a row, and has dissapointed at the weight. I think he COULD show some good things at welter though

Kessler is over-rated. Manfredo is under-rated.

Hatton is under-rated.

some of them do, but why is Edwin overrated and Vic underrated? those two are dangerous fighters to any contenders.

Saying Vic is underrated is a good thing. Although personally I've yet to see him tested so I think he's abit overrated though we'll see. As far as Hatton and Manfredo go. Definitely both are overrated. Hatton hasn't done **** and looks bad with whatever he does. Manfredo...wtf? Why's he still around when he lost the Contender and both fights with Sergio. This guy has gotten waaaaay to much exposure based on just fans liking him for a reason I've yet to discover. Joe is gonna dismantle him into retirement.
