In Hindsight..Fights that should Have Been Stopped

    Early...
Of course no one can say for sure what Kind of damage someone is suffering internally till its often too late..
But what are some fights In YOUR OPINION that should not have been permitted to hear the final BELL?..Where the fight is so onesided and A KO by the trailing fighter so unlikely.. That Continuing is just silly pride.. and the potential for serious injury should have allowed common sense to prevail..

    W Klitschko Byrd 1
    Calzaghe Lacy
are 2 that jump stright to the forefront of my mind..

Well, I don't remember how it looked (or if I've ever even seen it to be honest, though its strange to me that I wouldn't have), but how about Mesi/Jirov? Mesi down three times in the final two rounds and ended up with bleeding on the brain. It seems like if we could rewrite history we'd have him stay down the first time.

in the past couple of months two fights that i have seen that should have been stopped was Ricky Quiles/Nate Campbell and Burgos/Darchinyan. Ricky Quiles IMO actually took more of an ass beating then Burgos did. Surprised he didn't go to the hospital for a while.

You know this did not pop into my head but when I read it I have to agree......Lacy/calzaghe could have been stopped too but I think there were worse incidents than that like the Mesi/Jirov and what about Abraham/Miranda.....anyone who really cared for Abraham the man would have wanted that stopped.

Tex was one of the most quotable fighters ever. He had a quick wit about him.

albeit the fight should have been stopped because it was brutal.

We'd be lying to ourselves if we thought Cobb was hurt. You would need a few swings with a louisville slugger on the side of his noggin just to get his attention. And even at that he'd just spit splinters back at us.
