Cruz said there was “this unscrupulous matchmaker from Thailand doing this” and the GAB had already informed the WBC Ratings Committee and the Thailand Boxing Commission about fighters who left the Philippines without the necessary clearance to fight.
The Manila Standard Today learned that one of the notorious Thais involved was a certain Panya who is known to most Filipino boxing people and it is suspected he works in connivance with Filipino identified as Bong Obero who was banned by the GAB but reportedly still continues with his illegal activities allegedly in connivance with some GAB officials past and present.
Dr. Cruz said they were trying to contact Sisnorio’s manager Jemmel Contayoso of Cotabato but said “he cannot be reached.”
im sorry but is the Thai Boxing comission not all that apt to protect its members....
Agreed, i checked his opponent Sasakul's quality of opponents, in his last 10 fights they have a combined record of 76-83-10....2 of those last 10 were pro debuts who he blew out in 2. His record is 58-3 (37), he must take great pride in beating tomato cans for a living.
Meanwhile ********* listed Sisnorio record at 11-5-1 but boxrec says it's 5-5-1(2), I tend to believe the latter. His last 5 opponents had a combined record of 165-5 and thats including a loss to Pongsaklek Wonjongkam. Sisnorio's manager should be ashamed. I don't know I guess these kind of mismatches are common out there.
I've seen Pongsaklek Wonjongkam fight and he looks like a great champion but what happens when he steps up the level of comp. IMO his quality of opposition take away some of his credibility.

It usually means bad reffing. It's rare for a fighter to land one shot to do all the damage. It means that he was getting hit way too much and way to often.
** Well to do kids don't know what it means to be poor.
obviously the matchmaker should be penalized, Sisnorio and all fighters know the risk of getting in the ring. He made a choice to get in that ring.
His death sucks and im sorry for his family, but that is a risk of getting in the ring.
