Neither does Floyd Maywhether. Neither do loads of people who talk smack when they think that they are the best, but they still do it. Possibly even because of the fact that they are trying to emulate Ali.
I did enjoy Naz's shenanigans at times throughout his career. But you watch his interviews, there's a lot of confidence and a lot of charisma, but he doesnt touch Ali. Its too much ****iness, not nearly as much eloquence or articulation or quite simply charisma. Ali was an exceptional talker, he so rarely repeated himself within the same quote, he rarely stumbled in his speech, he was confident and fluent and his controversial comments were always skillfully phrased. Seeing Naz coming out with "I'm the best, praise be to Allah, I'm unbeatable, the best, all praise to Allah, he couldnt touch me, I'm the best" and things like that couldnt compare to the golden age Ali interview. Plus...thats all Naz had, Ali could debate, could converse on intellectual issues, could show great humour and even humility at times. He wasnt just a boast machine.
