I understand if you think Roy is done at a champ, or top tep p4p guy.

But...Hopkins is not all that these days either. He barely throws a punch, but that style was enough to beat Tarver. And I was glad for that. I think people should acknowledge in any case that Bernard is not even 85% of what he used to be.
Yeah you are right but I think Hops could beat Roy quite soundly at this point in their careers.......I almost wanted to see it happen but then thought ahhh **** why.

Tarver is a length southpaw and after Roys loss to Tarver Roy just needed time off. No doubt Roy is not the fighter he once was but he still has speed and power and i would favor him over most fighters. I think Roy is just trying to get his confidence back, in his last fight he looked decent. I think he will make a good showing and then try one more crack at a title. Peace Out RJJ rules

Jones-Hanshaw is not on the same card. Whoever said that is wrong. The article says it would go head-to-head with Cotto-Judah, on a different channel.

Hopefully Jones Jr. will win and move on to a big fight. I'd love to see him get back in the big fights mix.

There was a time when Roy could beat anyone, and that time has passed. I recognize that. I think Hanshaw is a perfect, perfect fight to see exactly what Roy has to offer as his hourglass is running out.
I couldn't agree more with this post Super.

This is a fight roy had to take. It's a huge risk, but if he wins. He can start to feel more confident about challenging other fighters, but what he has to realize is that hes never ever going to be worth as much as he once was. If he is only fighting for money and not to be the champ. Then the old roy jones jr died a long time ago. And his chin has always been suspect. He never allowed opponents to hit him much. Now, you see why he trains for speed and to move out of the way of punches. Not a bad fighter, just not a great chin. I've never seen roy jones jr brawl with anyone. I've seen him throw combos, then back away from his opponent and do a dance, then throw more punches. Thats why I'm coming out his chin, not because of his knockouts. I've never seen many fighters land alot of shots on him.
