    How bad will Roach look...

if Manfredo gets dusted by Calzaghe (I'm talking knocked out or completely shut out on the cards) AND Pacquiao gets upset by Solis AND De La Hoya loses convincingly to Mayweather?

he will have left two of his projects to train the guy with the money and could end up with no projects at all. I'm of course pulling for Manfredo and Pacquiao, but if they get beat and Oscar goes down, he will look very bad indeed.

I like Pac and Oscars chances......I hope Manfredo does well but would'nt bank on it......I don't see why it would make Roach look so bad tho.....fighters lose sometimes it's that simple and has'nt he already done enough to be considered one of the better trainers out there either way..........

I know there are plenty of people on here that dislike Calzaghe but why would it make Roach look bad if Manfredo get's beat? If Calzghe puts in a performance that he IS capable of then he would outclass Manfredo whoever was training him. I am not British by the way!!!

And the only way Pacman is getting beat is if he does not turn up!

This is a really good thread.... because Manfredo is a genuine "contender" to The Blow's belt, and not just a putz paid to take a beating for HBO's PR department. And of course, everyone's expecting Oscar to win.

Pac I'll give you. But the rest of this is just garbage from a moron little boy who doesn't understand the first thing about boxing beyond how much smack he can talk about it on internet messageboards. What a ****ing quim!

I have to agree with Mr. Anorak that this doesn't make any sense. Manfredo is outclassed, plain and simple. If Oscar loses it will be because Floyd is a great fighter, not because Roach is a bad trainer.

Pacquaio should not lose. If he were to lose, then maybe we could talk about why.

If Pac were to lose, the blame would be put on his political adventures, not Roach.

Roach's fighters are going up against two of the top predators in their weight classes: Joe Calzaghe and Floyd Mayweather. Jorge Solis is a question mark ONLY because Pacquiao has been distracted by running for congress.

I can see Roach winning only 1 out of the three fights only coz Jorge Solis is nothing near the levels of Floyd or Joe.

more importantly than the fact that Manfredo is expected to lose, (14-1 underdog) is that Freddie Roach isnt even training him.
If anyone will look bad it will be SRL, for talking all his smack.

Actually a lot of people are picking Oscar to win. Floyd is obviously favored but there are tons of people talking **** and saying the Floyd will get KOed. Don't spin the facts to make either man's victory less important than it might be.

Calz is going to dust Manfredo. Manfredo's chances of winning are slim to none.
