I saw the fight once when it was live, and I thought Forrest won the fight. Ill give Mayorga credit though. He was an above average Welterweight. He had good stamina back then, as well as good power.

          Forrest EASY!
Baldomir doesn't have anything to bother Vernon.
Perfect fight for Vernon to take, a fighter with a name, an easy win.
          Seriously, this isn't even close.

When I heard Shane was going to take the Baldomir fight I thought "for what?!" Shane needs to look for the biggest fights possible, Tata just isn't it. No threat whatsoever.

Exactly, i agree 100%. Vernon forrest knows that he has to fight someone that people know and baldomir is the perfect stepping stone fighter to take advantage of.

Forrest is the better boxer but if Baldy intimidated Forrest the way Mayorga did, then I give Baldy a good chance winning this fight.

i dont think forrest is as good as he used to be, baldi is still the same. i think baldi can do just enough to squeak out a decision. forrest may look great in spots but baldi will outwork him

Mayorga and Tata are extremely different.
Ricardo was a free-swinging, hard charging wild man in the Welterweight division. Tata, while he does move foward at all times, is slow and plodding. Forrest will know what to expect from Baldomir unlike Mayorga. Against the welterweight Mayorga punches came from all angles, angles you would never expect.

I didn't compare Baldy to Mayorga, I know their different, I think Baldy is 10 times the better boxer, I also think Baldy chin is better then Mayorga.

The reason Mayorga had great sucsess against Forrest was that he intimidated Forrest, I think Baldy can also intimidate Forrest, I like both guys, so whoever wins I will be happy for them!

                      Gotcha. I get your point.

As far as the intimidation thing goes though Mayorga did a good job by bum-rushing Forrest. I believe that was what intimidated Vernon, he couldn't keep the guy off of him. That's not Baldomir though, he just follows you around. And for the taller Forrest, that's target practice.
