    Jaidon Codrington vs Andre Ward?

From Dan Rafael's scorecard column over the weekend...

    Light heavyweight
    Jaidon Codrington W10 Marlon Hayes
    Scores: 99-89, 98-90, 97-91
    Records: Codrington, 15-1; Hayes, 23-6
Rafael's remark: Codrington moved to 6-0 A.G., as in "After Green." He's been perfect since being utterly smashed in 18 seconds on Showtime by Allan Green in the 2005 knockout of the year. Codrington scored a first-round knockdown with a right hand for the fight's only explosive moment. From there, it was Codrington's superior talent holding up until the final bell. There has been discussion about Codrington facing 2004 Olympic gold medalist Andre Ward later this year. That would be a heck of a lot more interesting than this fight.
I have only seen probably a total of five fights with these guys, but they are both supposed to be top level prospects, aren't they? Who do you guys think would win? Was Codrington's encounter with Green a flukish, quick strike kind of thing or do you guys think Ward would KO him?

I do feel that Jaidon was moved too fast early on and was nowhere near ready for Green. I think this would be an evenly matched fight, one that promoters aren't too interested in putting on.

I think Codrington was rushed by putting put in with a fighter with the pro experience of Green. Both Codrington and Ward are good boxers but Jaidon has a good punch and Ward has a shaky chin.He was hurt in his second fight by Kenny Kost and was dropped by Darnell Boone.I think that Jaidon wins by 4th round KO.

I'll go with Jaidon "Checked chin" Codrington.

This would be an all right fight. Codrington has won his last six since Green, really against nobody's or washed up fighters. A win against Ward would prove that he has gotten over the vicious KO against Green. Also we would get to see how Ward is developing as a pro.
