    In the Pac-Morales trilogy...

I think Morales was about as old as he was in their 1st fight than in their second fight.

I can't see much difference between Erik in fight number 1 and fight number 2. I only see the difference in Pac and his change of strategy. So why does everyone think that Morales was still young in Pac-Morales 1?

If you think about it and watch Pac-Morales1 and 2 you can see that Morales by round 12 was dizzy in their first fight and did not complain about being tired after winning. You can also see that Pac was'nt landing the quality shots that he was in the second fight.

But if you put the same Morales in Pac-Morales 1 and put him in Pac-Morales 2 he still would have been KO just by looking at Morales in Pac-Morales 1 round 12.

    In other words...

    I believe that

Morales in Pac-Morales 1 without taking good quality shots = UD for Morales but was dizzy by round 12

Morales from Pac-Morales 1 that took those good quality body shots from Pac would have still gone down.

Don't get me wrong though I still believe that the Morales in Pac-Morales 3 was still shot and should'nt have taken that fight under his circumstances.

Morales, similar to fighters like Gatti, Saad, or Holyfield, has been in so many tough fights that you never know when he's going to be old or shot overnight.

I think he was past his best but still close enough to his prime for the 1st fight, and maybe the 2nd as well. Morales looked terrible at 135 against Raheem prior to the 2nd bout but that could've just been a style and weight thing. Who doesn't look bad in Raheem fights (including Raheem himself often)?

Pacquiao definitely did a better job of going to the body in the rematch, which he did early on in fight one, but didn't do enough after the first round.

      ur right
he was old in the 1st
      came in same for 2nd
looked like he came in physicaly better for the 3rd
but what happened wasnt a change of stradegy by pac
he came in tryin the same stuff as in the first
what happened was that after the 1st morales decided he wanted to go for a KO
he wanted to stand and trade more
he wanted to prove he could take pacs best
      unfortuantly he couldnt
erik allowed pac to shine more
he played into his game plan
and ya pac also had some improvements

sorry but you dont know a lot about the first fight...i mean, MORALES TURNED SOUTHPAW TO **** WITH PACQUIAO IN THE LAST ROUND TO MAKE THE FIGHT EXCITING TILL THE LAST ROUND!!!!!(thats a ****ing warrior)so if the last round is your argument to say this, then youre wrong....but he wasnt as bad as in the third fight

just a thought. what if morales comes back w/ 3 consecutive wins? would u still say he's shot when he fought pac? that's like calling the barrera the same thing after he lost to pac, but then he came back w/ 5 straight wins including 2 against rocky.

well, but remember that mab took his time to return to the top of the boxng world when he was crushed by pac and junior, i just think they had his number, but morales's legs were Gone, and if he gets them back i would say it was because of the weight that he had such problem, because he proved that even in his post prime, he could still beat a guy that is dynamic and closer to his prime in pacquiao
