    Bute title shot

When do you believe Lucian Bute will get a title shot? Who must he beat first?

I just read on boxingrec.com that his upcoming fight vs Sakio Bika is an IBF Super Middleweight Title Eliminator. If he wins he will face Berrio for the title. Do you think he would then be ready for Kessler or Calzaghe?

Bute is fighting Bika in an IBF eliminatoer in June.
IBF means taking care of the mandetory (that's why the belt isn't JC's anymore)

The IBF title is in Germany now, and Sauerland want to pass it on to a stronger guy than Berrio.
I've just heard Berrio will fight Haussler in his first defense. Lucky it is the IBF belt, Bute would never get his shot it that wasn't the case.

Both Berrio and Haussler don’t even belong in the top 10.

The world doesn't need another Ottke. -- GO BUTE!!!

I think Bute is to late to ever catch a fight with Calzaghe.
Bute is one of the "most ready smw's" to fight Kessler, if he can't get the fight with Joe.

Do you think fighting out of Montreal and being managed by Yvon Michel hurts his chances of fighting a guy like alzaghe or Kessler?

Not anymore than being out of Copenhagen, and managed by Palle.
He's up there, and he will get his shots.

Hmm you make Montreal(my Hometown) sound like a small town.... It is a world class city eh?

The June fight with Bika, is going to be a tough one. Bika is back on a winning streak, and you could see what a difficult fighter he is in the Calzaghe fight.
Bute could gain a lot of reputation from this one, even if Bika isn't ranked so high.

I DO! I think he'd beat Calzaghe, but am not sure about Kessler. Bute is the real deal, and is much quicker than people give him credit for. Sakio Bika will be a great test for him, but for me I am definitely on the Lucian Bute bandwagon.
