Lampley on Barrera's nuts..?

watched the fight like 3 times today since seein it last week. its been on my dish so i get east and westcoast airings, and did it seem like lampley was on marco's nuts the whole night? he was givin barrera credit for bull**** punches, and completely ignored marquez's landed punches...i mean, marquez, even though he looked sloppy in those flurrys with barrera, he was still gettin the better of barrera and this dumb ass would be yelling like barrera was landing amazing shots. marquez was landing 3 and 2 to 2 of barreras punches, and the rest of the punches would be hittin shoulders or missing completely. watch that ****, marquez landed shots on the chin just about every time they went toe to toe..and lampley, bein that he had a hard on for barrera or some ****, would yell barreras name for no ****in reason lol...he did the same **** when oscar fought mosley, kept yellin oscars name in rediculous moments, lol guys a ****in moron.

No doubt the HBO commentary crew always tend to lean a bit more towards their fighters. especially in the case of an Oscar De La Hoya, or a Marco Antonio Barrera. Someone who's pretty much helped build their reputation up as the premier Network for boxing.

Lampley gave credit to Marquez too, you just have to listen. He kept harping on the knockdown but honestly, I can't blame him. It was a legit knockdown and should've been called so. Nobody wants to see an error like that in any fight, especially a fight of the magnitude and significance as Barrera/Marquez.

Basiclaly, you always have to expect the HBO crew to drool more so on "their" fighter's nuts, than their opponets. Some people argue that the commentary crew try to sway viewers into their fighter's corner. Which is why I typically watch the big fights on mute the second time around.

Taylor/Wright was a prime example of the HBO crew making the fight to be in favor of one fighter over the other when it clearly was not. Props to Bomber for bringing that up.

yeah, hes a douche. such a horrible called fight, that it seemed like he was purposely doin that. wouldnt even give marquez a chance even when juan matched or got the better of barrera when they would go toe to toe. rarely did barrera come out of an exchange "ontop," yet this ass couldnt stop sayin his name lol

steward had to shut his ass up finally and point out the foul in round 7, lol cause i guess lampley missed that blatant cheap shot.

my problem is when the fight was close, marquez was the one who was comin out stronger but all you would hear is barreras name. i was faded when i watched it last week, and i kept gettin pissed and askin myself "barrera, really..?" anyways, watched it again and just realized how annoying that **** can be

I noticed that also. JMM would land a killer combo and Marco would land a glancing left hook and Lampley would go. "Marquez throws a flurry and Barrera lands a blistering left hook!"
