    Cobra does the business

Just got home from Froch fight at Nottm Ice Stadium.
What can i say. This is the guy Bute went 12 rounds with.
    Froch destroys in 2.
All you doubters out there better start believing the Cobra is the Real Deal.

Calzaghe will never fight Froch. He is too scared.

It was a nasty right hook Froch landed, but i think it got stoped 2 early

Froch is a good fighter but i dont think he would win against Calzaghe, hes way 2 open for Calzaghes fast hands

We shall see. I honestly believe Calzaghe will never fight the Cobra.
Calzaghe doesnt have the power to beat Froch.
Froch will only need to land 1 punch.
      Seriously Calzaghe is swerving Froch.

It would be nice to see Bute versus Froch.

The fight didn’t really say much about Carl other than something we already knew, he hits very hard.

I really hope his next fight is a big step up in class.

Yeh i hope so too. But who is going to want a beating from the Cobra.
            He should go after Kessler.
Dont think Kessler will want to come to Nottingham.

Of course Calzaghe doesn't want to fight him. Froch doesn't bring anything to the table for it to be worthwhile, he just wants big names to leave a legacy. Froch has came along too late for Calzaghe; even if he does make it to the top one day, Calzaghe will already be more or less finished.

So let Froch go out of Nottingham. He is the challenger.

Here is the thing, Froch IS impressive, he MAY be a great fighter. He's getting a bit old to be fighting guys who fought guys. He needs to be fighting the guys themselves. He needs to be taking on the likes of Bute, Kessler, Lacy etc and if he performs well against them THEN he has a good shout at Calzaghe. This triangular logic of "He knocked out so-and-so in 2, but he took so-and-so the distance, so he would beat him" simply does not work. It is at best only a slight indication and nothing more.

Ok you make some fair points. But Calzaghe is fighting a blown up Light Welterweight. If Manfredo deserves a shot, why does Froch not deserve it??
Calzaghe has a long list of opponents who are nowhere near as good as Froch
                  Bika
                  Ashira
                  Saleem
                  and on and on.
Calzaghe was also due to fight Magee.

Simple truth is Calzaghe in swerving this massive british Fight.

Again the cobra beating someone ive never heard of. Impressive to stop someone whos not been stopped before but who is the russian. The cobra needs a big name. I cant believe Froch is already 29 years old. Where has he been all this time?
Joe was a champ at 23 or something.
