Of the last 5 Mayweather fights, how many of them were on PPV?
    PPV: Mayweather vs. Baldomir
    PPV: Mayweather vs. Judah
    PPV: Mayweather vs. Gatti
    WCB: Mayweather vs. Bruseles
    WCB: Mayweather vs. Corley

    and most ******!!!

I know all of DLHs were

PPV: De La Hoya vs. Mayorga
PPV: De La Hoya vs. Hopkins
PPV: De La Hoya vs. Sturm
PPV: De La Hoya vs. Mosley 2
PPV: De La Hoya vs. Vargas

And DLH is the reason this fight is on PPV. DLH is the draw, not PBF.

If Mayweather isn't a draw, then why are people expecting THIS FIGHT to match or surpass the numbers of DLH-Trinidad? If DLH can draw with any opponent, then why is this fight expected to do better than all the others? Mayweather may not be the bigger draw in this match up, but he deserve credit for a good number of the buys if this fight shatters records...

        You forgot:
WCB--Mayweather vs. Sharmba Mitchell (sandwiched between Gatti and Judah)

Also, this is a reason why PBF may actually retire--earning 10 mil for this fight obviously is by far a career-high and if he wins he'd have it in his head that he's worth that much (maybe even more) each time out.

So if talks for a Mosley fight started, I think Floyd would say "I'm retired, but pay me $12 million and I'll do it." He thinks he's creating leverage by "retiring," and given the state of boxing, which needs every big fight and big star it can get, he's probably right.

This is also why there is almost no chance of anything other than Mayweather-Mosley or Mayweather-Hatton happening for Floyd after the Oscar fight. Arum can talk all he wants about Cotto, but I don't think he'll cough up enough to get Floyd in the ring with Miguel (he'll probably make some kind of offer though, maybe 8-10 mil).

GBP and HBO can make the Mosley fight happen, and Hatton and the money he is capable of generating in England may make that a slight possibility (Floyd could get a nice cut of the European pie, though I doubt Team Hatton would ever do that).

DLH has been a huge draw for a long time and deserves to make more money, but your right Floyd deserves credit if this fight breaks PPV records.

DELAHOYA'S name is what generates the money and it has since 1996 when he stopped Chavez for the first time.
He is the reason why about ten of my friends started watching boxing.
He's the reason for the all the pay per view buys, sure in the boxing world a name like Mayweather helps sell more than Yoriboy campus. NO matter who Oscar fights they'll earn more money fighting him at a 70-30 split than any other fighter. Oscar has every right to get a bigger pay day. Just for the record a lot of people hate oscar for his good looks and bank account, but he came from a very poor family and has worked hard since he was 7 years old to get where he is.

Next time you ***** about Oscar, remember he has done a lot for boxing, it's image and he's always gracious in defeat. If Floyd wasn't happy with the Pay Day no way would he have signed the contract, he's a smart mother ****er too.

                May the best Man win.

                    What?

DLH has no doubt done a lot of good for boxing, but what a bunch of nonsense.

After the Tito fight, he (rightfully) said he thought he won the fight, but also said "don't blame me, blame my trainers". Unlike the many people who claim that DLH's corner told him to run, I actually watched the fight and heard his corner tell him "box, box, box" in the late rounds, not run. After round ten when DLH ran, they said "no more rounds like that one", then Oscar ran more.

After the first Mosley fight, DLH first claimed he won. After finally accepting that he lost, he said "I ate bad oysters". After the Mosley rematch, DLH said "I'm launching a full investigation. It's not that I lost, but for the good of boxing". Gee, where were these investigations when the judges had him winning by SIX points against Whitaker and FOUR points against Quartey?

In fact, when Oscar was gracious after losing to Hopkins, writers like Nigel Collins (who is a fan of Oscar) gave DLH credit for finally being gracious in victory.
