People ask for too much. If a guy wins his fights, that's all that matters. **** 'looking good'. hatton won easily, what was he supposed to do? Same goes for Cotto and Taylor. They've done fine.

Hatton's clinching is what made the fights boring and it is Hatton's choice to hug. He should stop blaming his opponents. He looked very good early on against Urango and looked like **** the second half of the fight. It wasn't something that Urango did that caused that. It was all Hatton...

And for anyone who was still in denial about Hatton's ducking ways:

"I'm living my dream," Hatton said. "I've always wanted to fight champions and unify titles. I was nowhere near that with my former promoter."

Of course Warren is going to take Hatton's to task by issuing a response. He says that not only is Hatton lying about his inability to secure him big fights, but he offered him major fights against Floyd Mayweather, Jr., Vivian Harris, Junior Witter and Miguel Cotto - and Hatton's father turned down all of them.
It is well known Hatton had turned down Mayweather multiple times, Vivian Harris, and Junior Witter, but it's news to me that he was offered a Cotto fight...

The thing is Hatton was WAY overhyped as not only one of the UK's greatest fighters, but a fighter who could excite crowds the way Gatti does with his blood and guts style.

Hatton hasn't delivered on his skill nor his excitement...

"My last three performances have been ****," Hatton said. "Certainly not the Ricky Hatton you've come to expect. The more punches your opponent throws the more gaps and openings he leaves for you to take advantage of."

Go watch the Collazo fight,Collazo was punching alot, trying his best 2 punch,Hatton kept holding and holding,Collazo would do a left right and Hatton would hold,Hatton has adapted this to his style,he might put on alot of pressure, but he has become really boring with this hugging ****,and the thing that pisses me of most is,the ref dont do nothing to stop it,dont even take 1 point away

People have said Hatton is exciting and everything else. But Hatton dont have to be exciting just because people say he is supposed to be. He has been exciting in some fights and that is why people say he is. But he dont have to anything if he dont want. He has to be able to beat the people they put in front of him. It woiud be great if he could look good, but he dont have to if he dont want to.

Now as a boxing fan I've given Hatton as many chances to impress me as possible, still hasn't done it but once a long time ago, he needs to start backing up his **** talking cause it's getting on my nerves.
How many chances have you given him exactly?

Warren hasnt really confirmed anything. Warren is no more likely to be telling the truth than Hatton is. In fact, Warren is more likely to be full of **** a). Because he was always full of **** and b). Because, why would Hatton leave him if he was offering him the bigger fights for the right amount of money? If Hatton didnt want the bigger fights, Warren would've been glad to offer him the crap ones and protect his record...thats what Warren does best. So if Hatton DIDNT want big fights, but Warren was offering him them, why did Hatton leave him in such a high-profile way?

I don't know if it is Hatton's life-stlye, him finally facing younger fighters that are actually decent, or the Tszyu fight took something out of him both physically and mentally.

Maybe a mixture of them all

It's not looking good for Hatton with Frank Warren's comments.

Frank Warren got him Tszyu because he was afraid Hatton would leave, plus he knew it was time for a big fight and it was worth the risk.

I wouldn't be surprised if Warren was telling the truth.

Just think, who has Hatton fought since?

Remember, Warren said, "We are getting Tszyu at the right time, and in Ricky's backyard.'

Only the fans and the media were sold on Kostya's comeback victory over Mitchell, but there were others that weren't sold on the win.

With a big win people seem to forget all the things prior.

I agree he did look like ****, he shouldnt blame his opponents though.

Only guy that can blame his looking like **** on his opponent was Arce in his fight with that guy from argentina lol.
