John McCain Picks Wright over Hopkins

2008 presidential candidate John McCain, who is also a well known advocate for boxing reform, told the Concord Monitor that he is picking Winky Wright to beat Bernard Hopkins when the two fighters meet in the main event of a July HBO pay-per-view. McCain thinks Wright will win because Hopkins is well beyond his prime. [details]

I remember HBO interviewing him about the Barerra/Morales rematch. He said he thought Barerra won the first fight and Morales won the second.

I agree with Mr. McCain on this and I hope if he accomplishes nothing else in his political career he can get some attention focused on reform this crooked sport being ****d by the horrible sanctioning bodies.
