    boxing books

only way id ever read one is if the fighter himself wrote it. but its always some one elses stories, like jose torres lying his ass off about tyson throughout his book.

CHIN CHECKER, then you need to read my book when its done because I tell it all about boxing, about what it's like inside the ring, what guys like so called boxing experts could never tell you other than from what they heard from a fighter thats been through it. REAL stuff

Most boxers can't write books themselves. Writing a book is not easy, and reading one by someone who can't write is terrible. I prefer to see 'as told to' on the title because then I know someone half competent did the work.

Iceman is an exception, I'm not saying that to kiss his ass but you can quickly see from reading this forum that he is a smart guy. Can you imagine your favorite fighters writing a book? Eubank sure, but the rest of them?

Thank you, my man. And on that note...what I think is terible is when you read a book "BY" a certain person and reading it you KNOW THEY DIDN'T WRITE IT.

Ricky Hatton wrote his own. Quick fact - over 20% of the text in the book is taken up with repetition of the phrase "y'know".

Eubank's book is only about 20% boxing. And 80% of philosophy, life, and Nelson Mandela.

He didn't write it either. Martin Roach is the author, I think Cwith just told him what to write.
