I just watched this guys fight vs Witter. I honestly think he was absolutely robbed. I scored it 9 rounds to 3 for Kotelnic. I could see it being a little closer but I cant see any way Witter won that fight. One judge even had it 117-111 for Witter which is ***in crazy. Kotelnic clearly won rounds 6-12 with the 12 one being close though. The first 6 were back and forth and a few could have gone either way. I just think Kotelnic should have won that fight comfortably on the scorecards.
Then there is the fight recently with M'baye for the world title. This fight ended in a draw. This was a pretty close fight, much closer than his fight with Witter. Once again I thought Kotelnic did enough to win this one. I didnt see these two's first meeting but Kotelnic lost a SD and I bet he might have deserved that one too.
I think Mohammed Abdullaev gave him a closer fight than both them guys, and Kotelnic won that fight. Kotelnic-Abdullaev was a very entertaining and competitive fight. They just sat in front of each other throwing punches.
Kotelnic just cant catch a break. This guy is very underrated. He should be a world champion with a solid win over Junior Witter. Instead he is probably viewed as some bum who came up short at the world class level. Its pretty sad if you ask me.
Kotelnic was also an olympic silver medalist losing to the great Mario Kindelan in the finals. Kotelnic and Kindelan fought a bunch of times in the ams and they both beat each other, but Kindelan won when it really mattered.
Now im not being bias for this guy or nothing like that. Im a ***in **** and this guys German or whatever he is. Ive just watched his fights and think hes a great fighter and deserves more than what hes got.
