He is not already one fo the greatest of all time. What the hell has he done to be considered one of the gretest of all time. First and foremost he does not have the quality opposition to be considered one of the gretest of all time. Thats not hate it is the truth, Floyd fans never cease to amaze me. Not to say that he desn't have potential but not at this point in his career that is a ridiculous statement.

Thats what most fans critice about obxers nowadays, so if pep and benny dont do it, its ok?

Benny couldnt even win a welterweight belt off an average champion, there is no way he would ****in beat taylor. The funny thing is that floyd is the exact same size as him.

Jose luis castillo- future hall of famer
genaro hernandez- will most likely be in the hall of fame
            corrales
            judah

Not too bad of a resume to me, its not like pernell whitaker and thomas hearns have a resume much better than his.

I'd say top 5 perhaps, but still not better than Sugar Ray Robinson.

Hypothetical or not this is very, very far fetched.....However suppose it did happen like you said than I would say Floyd is one of the best to ever lace em up.

thomas hearns is a huge name because he had ray leonard and marvin hagler to help define him. floyd hasn't had any career defining wins. oscar would be a hell of a start though.

floyd has beaten really really good opposition. i'll consider him all time great if he can beat oscar, then shane, and hopefully hatton. cotto too if he beats judah.

there's too many names left floyd should fight i guess is my point. if he retires without fighting shane i'll be bummed out. but shane being oscars sparring partner should add some drama to the fight if floyd beats oscar.

and thinking for even 1 second that floyd would ever fight taylor is really just completely silly. the welterweight division is stacked sky high with big name fighters floyd can beat. jermaine taylor is laughably bigger than floyd. taylor is almost laughably big for a middleweight. maybe we should throw pacquiao in there with sam peter while we're at it.

i would need to see some pretty damn good fighter to come along for Mayweather to beat on and out box.
Then giving ricky hatton a chance after beating this some pretty damn good fighter and either beat ricky or lose and beat him in a rematch.

Then the last way but best way,to become great, would be to skip the rest and step all the way up to super middle and face good old calzaghe i think that would put his greatness into perspective.

I am sure Maweather could beat Oscar De La Hoya to a pulp, but then beating taylor by a desicion would be hard but i think it doesnt take the greatest ever to do it.
