Emmanuel Steward Has Lost Faith in Boxings Future

Did you see how emotional he got talking about the judges "scoring" of the Marquez Barerra fight? He was pissed as hell about it and it looked like he had lost faith in the future of boxing.

Did you hear him talking about it after the fight? That says it all.

There was another fight on HBO recently where they were also very upset about the scores. I was trying to remember it last night but I cant.

I think he has lost a bit of faith in it as well, just look at his reactions when talking about so few "American" rising talents in the amatuers/pro's.

Lets not even get started with the few boxing gyms that are left in this country, including the closing of the Kronk Gym.

Most of the talent is coming out of the former Soviet Union, and they are not really that impressive. If they were impressive, I would be all for it, after all I just want to see great fights/fighters.

          boxing really sucks right now.

I still can't believe in Vegas they upped the ounce of the gloves, what bull****. Can't wait a few years from now when everybody is wearing sparring gloves and a helmet.

Soon I am sure, I will sit in front of my television, put in my tapes of old fights, become an , then start for the old days

Goodness.. This is highly speculative as a thread.

Hopefully Emmanuel doesn't file litigation for slander..

The Barerra/Marquez fight was old school though. Great technique, counter punching, heated exchanges, etc. It had it all except 15 rounds.

This is not the first time that a thing like this happened. Organized crimes have been influencing boxing results since time immemorial and through who? yeah right, through the judges.

organized crime controlled fights more through paying off fighters and their corners then the judges.
