For being such a saavy vet, he can be a total spaz in heat of moment. The full nelson, and ramming Naz's head into belt buckle which resulted in a point deduction. The head butt to Pacman's chest, and late hit after break which resulted in a point deduction. The cheap shot punch to Morales face in pre-fight presser. The "look what I found" late hit to JMM which resulted in a point deduction. In each case, and in some of his biggest fights, whether he was winning big or losing big or in a controversial fight or even events outside the ring, he has lost control of his emotions and made some really dumb decisions...some tactical, some that didn't matter...but dumb nonetheless. Of course, this is nitpicking and doesn't take away from his legacy, but you gotta wonder why he loses control and goes low brow in his greatest and worst moments.
Barrera lacks composure

Fighters get pissed a lot, especially when they're in the ring with an opponet. I don't think you can blame Barrera for getting caught up in the moment and losing his cool. You have to remember, he makes a living by being violent. -
Are you refering to Barrera hitting Marquez when he was down? Barrera waited a good 5 seconds for the referee to jump in and make a decision. Instead Nady stood around with his thumb up his ass and didn't call the knockdown like he should have.
What was Barrera supposed to do? Stand there? It wasn't ruled a knockdown so he went with his instinct to keep fighting.Comment

If it was a knockdown the ref should step in if the fighter is not down u dont stop. U can say what Barrera did is dirty (he is a dirty fighter sometimes) but the ref didnt do his job.Comment

He was on all 4s. If you know anything about boxing, u know its a slip or a KD when a guy is on the floor like that, and both involve the referees interference.
And Barrera, well considering hes been in what, 80 professional fights AND is training to become an expert commentator, i think we can safely assume he KNOWS what he did was wrong but did it anyway.
Nady WAS slow, but it doesnt justify thatComment

its the refs fualt not barerras he looked right at the ref .. if hes not down hit him.. the ref said he wasnt downComment

Very true. Its similar to what happened in Jones v Griffen I. On both cases, the ref never stepped in between the fighters for about 5 seconds, so jones and barrera did what was natural to do in a fight. Keep throwing punches. Are you refering to Barrera hitting Marquez when he was down? Barrera waited a good 5 seconds for the referee to jump in and make a decision.
