marquez's face told the story who won that fight

In my mind if credited for the knock down there should even really be a debate. Barerra rolled with every punch and can back clean all night out jabbed and out countered him. marquez had a couple moments. barerra is relaxed in there and marquez was getting points for being tense agressive ..alot of poeple dont see what barreras doin in there but marquez's face told the story at the end..

So the outcome of a match should be judged based on their faces after the fight? What about DURING the fight? Chinga ya !

for a person with 2600+ posts on a boxing forum, i'm sorry but i'm going to have to dismiss your thread as a total nuthugger angry with the result.

I won't waste the time of digging up all the stills of fighters over the last 120 years with faces like hamburger, far worse than their victims, with their hands raised in triumph..

Has it ever occurred to you that some people are more prone to swelling/bruises than others, and it is in no way an accurate measure of how a fight went?

            Your argument is completely fallacious.

thats probably a new boxing technique that would work.

barrera was a warrior tonight but its unfair to brandish marquez like that.

Gatti must have lost most of his fights as he gets bloody walking into the ring

Exactly, in almost all of Marquez's latest fight he's been cut and bruised, he is just more prone to it.

                  He won the fight too.

His face just shows you how effective Barerra's jab was. Thats what made the fight close imo. I still had JMM winning by two rounds. The four point swing in the seventh round would have changed everything though.
