What should the ref had done when the marquez kd incident happened.

First let me say what a good hell of a fight that was it lived up to it's hype. but I was just curious what did you think, Did you think barrera shouldve been disqualified, or did the ref do the right thing or shouldve he done something else.

Call it a knockdown and take the point away from Barerra. The hit was when Marquez was still down so the point deduction makes sense.

be on top of things like a good ref and got in there before Barrera could hit Marquez. Barrera stood over him for like 10 minutes before he hit him. He should have got between them right away, sent Barrera to a neutral corner, and ruled it a knockdown like it clearly was.

It looks like a knockdown, a 10-8 round for Marquez could be 9-9 with 1 point deduction to Barrera, still JMM pulled it off.

what you guys don't realize is that THE REF DIDNT see the punch land. He couldn't have called it a KD either way. All he saw was Barrera htting Marquez when Marquez was down (which isn't allowed).

BUT BARRERA LOOKED AT THE REF TO SEE IF IT WAS A KNOCKDOWN FIRST THEN HIT HIM HE WAS HOLDING HIMSELF UP

But his gloves were clearly on the canvas, which would be like hitting him after a slip.

The referee robbed Barrera of one point because it should have been ruled a knockdown, but he should have lost that one point he did regardless, you can't hit a man when he's down.

Maybe but how come? he is the referee man and by that I mean he should know all the things happening in the fight. It should have been a KD and a point deduction for marco because of that illegal punch so it should have been 9-8 in favor of marco for round 7.
