Ponce De Leon - All talk

    Dudes

You checked out Ponce De Leon against that really old guy? Dude's nothing more than a jumed up guy with a bad ponytail.

Check out ringside seats, row two, opposite press row, there's a beached whale there, some old fat woman who's taking up three seats.

I don't wanna say he's all talk in that anyone ever really hyped him up too much, but the man can punch and throw. His technique seems amatuerish and at times just terrible, yet he makes up for that completely by throwing over 100 punches a round and over 1000 by the end of the fight. Gerry landed all the better shots though he got overwhelmed by the amount of punches Ponce threw.

Gerri got SCHOOLED by a crude PDL. That either speaks to how terrible Gerri is as a fighter or how good PDL is as a counterpuncher. I don't think he's a good counterpuncher, btw.

I don't think Daniel Ponce De Leon has any technique, no strategy, and I think this is going to kick him in the arse later on in his career.

Some punches Gerry landed, if he had more power, he woulda really hurt Ponce. Ponce is lucky Gerry was so small and weaker looking compared to him cause another fighter woulda buried him. Ponce is similar to Vic Darchinyan. Maybe them 2 should fight. They both have awkward southpaw styles that are 1 dimensional yet pull them through. When they face some serious competition with guys that can equally punch as hard back, I think they'll both be in for a surprise. Gerry coulda been the man to do it though he's just too small for that weight so his punches weren't as effective and he was feeling the punches more than Ponce.

Your obviously not a true fan of boxing or truely know boxing if you refer to Gerry Penalosa as just some "really old guy."

Penalosa was a very good opponent. Very experience too. De Leon learned a lot from this fight. He actually surprised me at times with his ability to box on his toes.

Ponce is a wild man waiting to be beaten up the way Gerry made a fool out of him. He was fortunate this time the volume of punches was all the judges could see. Well, that's all old judges ever see.

He was the one schooled all night. If not for the fact that Gerry was a lot older, he could have been kd'd several times by a very small guy who jumped up two weight divisions.

I won't be surprised to see de Leon made a fool by Caballero if they fought again. Much less, ko'd cold.

That wasn't a champion in there. That was an average fighter throwing a million punches and landing one, sometimes on the gloves, and sometimes on the hips, While the older guy threw 2 punches at a time and landed 1 each time and snapped the bigger man's head each time it lands.

Ponce is dead meat waiting to be schooled.
