It was a close fight and i wont argue with the decision but some of the scores the judges came out with were ridiculous. There was 2 rounds between them at the most.

I am drunk and i am a Barrera fan so i may have to watch it tomorrow with sober eyes and judgment but i thought Barrera had done it. ( with the legit kd )

      I fully agree.

      Contesting this fight seems unnescessary.

When a fighter CLEARLY did not win and got a descision THEN we contest.

Emmanuel Steward himself described Nevada scoring.

I think it's fair to say Barrera is also familiar with Nevada scoring.

      He lost in Nevada.

      For me; he lost period.

i had barrera winning by 1 point if you include the knockdown!!!!!! it was no way a shut out like the judges had it and alot of rounds were very close, in fact all 3 fights tonight were decided by bogus scoring from the judges!!!!!!

Respect to both fighters though, they gave us a great fight and for that.... they should be applauded.

Coming late to the thread. Had to go and read the posts after the Forbes-Hopkins fight and man was it worth it. Major LoLz go out to everyone who was as completely befuddled as myself. My old man and I just looked at each other and did a collective: "What the ****?". So harsh. Floyd better KO Oscar or he's done.

First time i've seen Ponce De Leon and wow he looked awkward. I'm guessing that's balance issues b/c he was throwing hard shots that weren't connecting on the button? Or is that just his style? Seemed really weird to me. He's sure got gas though. Funny how the little man kept catching him, kept it interesting.

As for the main event? The fight was great regardless of the 7th round mess. Even if Nady had allowed the knockdown I can see that being a 9-8 for Barrera cause Marquez had him in some major trouble. Can anyone else confirm if this kind of scoring is allowed? I'm not 100% sure. And why did it take 40 replays before Lampley saw that cheap shot Barrera got in? Wtf man are you blind? Scream mother****er, scream. Real professional, jackass.

Anyone else notice Bernard just standing there with a smirk on his face like Merchant was gonna interview him next? Haha!

            Rematch, let's get it on.

Barrera shoudl've won a very close decision. That seventh round was bull****. It was a very nice round though. When Marquez rocked Barrera and Barrera kind of buckled, I was shocked. Then it almost seemed like Marquez was going to score a stoppage, my heart fell. Barrera was just a target with no defence, I was scared that he was going to be stopped. Then I just thought, "Come on Barrera!" Then came that big right and down went Marquez, and I thought it was pretty funny how Barrera hit him while he was down. Should've been a 9-8 round though. Fight was close, but I had it 115-113 for Barrera.
