    open scoring

    is the barrera vs marquez fight open scoring?
    If it is, will it always be apply to every fight after the cotto/urkal fight?

    it started a while ago, like w/ Jermain Taylor-Kassim Ouma being the first i think.

    i went from a semi-fan of the rule, to a hater of the rule after this fight. It really doesnt have much going for it.

    It can only work in one situation, and that situation is rare.

    BUT, on the bright side, it did motivate bell a bit to go for the KO, instead of stayin back and tryin to box Mormeck

          yea exactly. im just sayin, thats the good part about the rule, but its hard to go for the KO if ur opponent is running.


          AND, in a normal fight like this, without open scoring, Mormeck would have probably fought those last four rounds, unsure of weather or not he would have won on the cards.

          AND, that would have made the KO a bit easier for Bell. But Bell could have gotten KOed himself.

          The rule just shouldnt be there.

          hopefully its abolished sooner rather then later
