judging from Castillo's last fight, Hatton might just beat Castillo. Even match up.
ricky hatton has the style to beat castillo

Im pretty undecided on ths fight, but i will probably just side with Castillo. I would love to see Ricky win but his last 2 fights he hasnt performed anywhere near his peak. He doesn't seem to be taking punches as well as he was a couple of years ago either with him being hurt to the head against Collazo and to the body by Urango. I can see Castillo hurting him to body and head and maybe finishing it.Comment

ricky hatton can beat this new old and small Cstillo, but prime vs prime Castillo would KO him.....still, im rooting for Castillo to pull the upset.Last edited by -Hyperion-; 03-17-2007, 09:47 AM.Comment

If Hatton manages to KO him then it will be a major achievement. My fear as a Hatton fan is that Rick thinks he has done it all and will fade out on the very cusp of greatness.Comment

Im wondering if either of them are really in their prime??
Going by their recent performances, neither fighter looks like they used to.
Maybe Hatton is younger and unbeaten, but thats the only reason i can see why some are saying Hatton will only beat him because Castillo isnt the fighter he used to be.
Yet neither is Hatton.
IMO anything can happen in this fight.Comment

Ricky is not the same fighter anymore who beat those guys. Ricky is a fighter now that comes straight in, throws two punches and clinches. Castillo has very good timing and nasty body shots.
Ricky's only chance in this fight is to become the old Ricky, the one who beat those guys you mentioned, but its unlikely. I think he might box until he tastes some of Castillo's body shots and then get back to the clinching which will be his downfall.
hahahah@ ricky is not the same fighter who beat those guys, you say that as if olivera and tackie great fighters..olivera and tackie are about on demarcus corley's levelComment

Neither of these guys are in their absolute prime. If how Hatton abuses himself between fights is to be believed he is in his mid thirties now and older than Castillo already. The beers and fry ups have aged him at least 5 years!!
Hatton to beat Castillo.Comment
