According to Russian media outlet Kommersant, Former heavyweight Vitali Klitschko confirmed to eastern-European reporters at a Russian news conference on Thursday, that a verbal agreement had been reached for a bout with WBC Heavyweight Champion Oleg Maskaev. Klitschko said that he is hoping that contracts for the fight are signed within the next few days. WBC mandatory contender Samuel Peter would be paid between 2.5-2.75 million to step aside in order for the fight to take place. Peter would also receive a crack at the winner. [details]
