Pound for Pound a Great Weekend

The following was written before the awesome news that Mormeck-Bell II will be live this Saturday on MSG, or your local Fox affiliate, at 4PM EST...Sadly, no change on the near great Lorenzo Parra being seen only OFF US TV

EVERYTHING THIS WEEK EXCEPT BARRERA-MARQUEZ & NOTES

15 March, 2007 by Cliff Rold

    HELL OF A WEEKEND WORLDWIDE!

Arlington, VA – For pundits of the ‘boxing is dead/dying’ variety, this is a terrible weekend. For everyone else, on three continents, it doesn’t get much better. Every fight isn’t good, but there’s enough good to go around. Of course, we all have a superfight to look forward to Saturday night and I’ll have plenty to say about Marco Antonio Barerra-Juan Manuel Marquez later in the week. The highlight of the weekend off pay-per-view won’t even be seen in the United States, but it’s a dandy.

I know. this is an awsome weekend

Aiken is an exciting fighter. Should make short work of that replacement opponent hes got

Marquez-Barrera ranges from exciting to amazingly awsome.

Undercard for that fight is fantastic

    Bell-Mormeck is self-explanatory.

    Overall just an sweet weekend.

But ignoring this weekend, there are nearly 8 of these types of weekends in june and july

It should be a very solid weekend.I'm just upset a major network didn't pick up the Mormeck-Bell rematch.ESPN could have had a special saturday card showing the fight.

It actually was picked up; I submitted the piece before MSG/Fox Sports announced it for this Saturday at 4 PM
