Why So Much Hate for Jermain Taylor?

People consider B-Hop a "legend" and when Taylor beats him twice, hes still considered average. I dont get it.

Taylor will go down as a better fighter than Hopkins. Under Steward's guidance, he will eventually get better. He does so many things wrong and still wins. You have to give him that. I thought he lost to Winky, but Winky had issues with a 60-40 purse in the rematch. Thats not Jermain's fault.

that's pretty much saying that taylor will be one of the 5-6 best middleweights to do it when he retires. little early for that. bernard hopkins at 40 years old barely let taylor lay a glove on him. he would have eaten taylor for dinner 3-4 years ago.

i think people are seeking a dominant champ, plain and simple. what we have in taylor is a work in progress. he could turn out to be everything that people hope for, but he's still lacking a significant win that hasn't been controversial.
