Clinton Woods to defend against Julio Gonzalez?

According to Radio Sheffield Clinton Woods is to defend his IBF light heavyweight belt against Julio Gonzalez in Las Vegas on 23rd June. It's gonna be on the Ricky Hatton undercard.

What's the point in him keeping on rematching people over and over again? After this he'll probably go on to fight Glen Johnson. Then Jason Delisle again. Then Gonzalez. Then Johnson. Then Delisle. Then Gonzalez. Then Johnson. Then Delisle. Over and over until he retires lol.

Nah, it's a decent enough fight but I'd have preferred Clinton to fight someone he's not fought before like Zsolt Erdei or someone.

Ha ha, yeah I know what you mean. I had heard that Gonzalez was gonna fight Johnson in an IBF eliminator. I guess Woods' people offered the fight to Gonzalez as a straight shot and he took it. Dunno where that leaves Johnson - maybe he's the mandatory now.

Cliton is a good fighter and is hard as nails. maybe fighters dont fancy it with clinton and prefer another route to a title.
