Never heard Bob Papa. Fran was garbage anyway. Soft as a marshmallow. Didn't wanna see him lose his job but he had to go.

Bob Papa is very good. I'd say he's almost on the level of Jim Lampley and Larry Merchant.

I'm not terribly familiar with Bob Pappas does anyone have a clip of him commentating? I'd love to hear him. Fran was decent..I didn't think he was horrible..just not too fluid.

He's the first guy to talk.

Hmm...sounds to me like Fran had a more polished commentating voice. I don't mean to say he was good at commentating boxing fights but rather than his tonality and such were very professional. Probably why he moved on to the NFL.

This guy sounds like he is much more tuned in on the action, watching and seeing things as they happen, and would be a good addition to the action.

Ive been saying for a while that Fran is much better as a studio guy. He is good on NFL Network. He just didnt sound right on BAD.
