I don't know. I'm saying like, Floyd Mayweather is already considered to be #1 in the world by most, with Manny Pacquiao right behind him. But if Floyd beats Oscar De La Hoya convincingly, what would it take for Manny to pass him up?

I'd say convincing wins over Marco Antonio Barrera and possibly a Joan Guzman type might do it.

Not if Floyd follows the Oscar win with a win over Mosely.

If Floyd retires, obviously him and Winky would fight for the spot. If Floyd beats Oscar and faces an easy opponent and if Manny beats Guzman or Pacquiao, then I could understand someone putting him at #1.

A victory against the winner of the MAB/JMM fight should be enough. Joan Guzman, Soto or Valero wouldn't be a factor because despite their HYPES they are not P4P fighters yet.

even if pacquiao knocks out barerra and marquez, i dont think he could overtake a victorious mayweather.
