    Miranda-Pavlik in July?

    Miranda-Pavlik in July?
    By Karl Freitag
Edison Miranda (28-1, 24 KOs) will likely continue his attempt to single-handedly clean out the middleweight divison against unbeaten Kelly Pavlik (30-0, 27 KOs) in an HBO-televised bout in July. The deal is not yet done, but both parties are close enough to have asked for today's WBC purse bid to be postponed. Last Friday Miranda issued a strongly worded video challenge to WBC/WBO champion Jermain Taylor, who will face "The Contender's" Sergio Mora on May 19. So far, Taylor has not responded.

Hope it happens and hope Taylor steps up and fights the winner like a true Champion should.....I love how he said Miranda is single handedly cleaning out the MW division....lol He will until it is just him and Taylor left if thats what it takes......Taylor can't hide behind Oumas and Moras forever.

Hey it's Taylor who fought three straight fights against HOFers. He is not hiding.

I like the way Miranda is taking on all the top Middleweights. I know Taylor took on Hopkins twice and beat him and took on Winky and fought to a draw, but his last opponent Ouma wasn't a challenge for him and Mora will not be either. Miranda has taken on Arthur Abraham who not very many of the top middleweights have faced, Willie Gibbs was a showcase fight, and Allen Green who many thought was going to beat Miranda because he had better boxing skills. Also Howard Eastman who no one knocked out which Miranda did. Now he is facing Kelly Pavlik a top middleweight. You've got to love the hunger Miranda has to get the title. He will fight anybody he doesn't care.
