Pavlik Not Impressed With Wright, Taylor

Whatever Pavlik! Winky Wright and Jermaine Taylor fought better competition in the third grade than Pavlik has fought his entire career!

It is crazy to me how Pavlik can be mentioned the new face of anything and he hasn't fought a remotely decent opponent. any of the bums he has faced couldn't headline a fight card at McDonald's! Its pitiful!

You really have a fond dislike for Pavlik. Only three posts to your credit and all them directing some venom at Kelly.

I credit him tho for being 24 and fighting more people than JT but JT is a champ now at 28 and beat B-Hop to do so. I like Pavlik tho, he's got some good power and his defense or lack there of can turn fights into FOTY type fights. I don't think he would beat JT or Wright tho.

In Kelly's last two fights he has stopped fighters in Mckart and Zertuche who have never been stopped.

Both victories were very impressive!

I dont see any reason why he wouldnt be ultra competitive with either Wright or Taylor, I would even make Pavlik the slight favorite against soemone like Edison Miranda.

Lol good point I have been on these forums for awhile though. i really like to entire site, I just started posting though. I probably won't post a lot but this Kelly Pavlik presidential campaign urks the hell out of me.
I honestly feel that no fighter should be called elite or given this much credit without facing an elite opponent. And i haven't seen so much undue credit given so blalent as in this case with Pavlik.
Even outside of these forums I hear so many (esp. white guys) saying that Pavlik would destroy Jermaine Taylor! And Edison Miranda!
I am in shock and disbelief that so called boxing fans could be so ******. I have watched 5 fights of Pavlik and haven't seen anything amazing about this kid. Especially not the feeling when i first saw Cotto, or jermaine taylor, or Miranda. I mean when i saw these guys fight (my first time) you saw something special. with Pavlik I don't understand the hype. This guy has fought cheerleaders and hasnt been Mike tysoning anyone.
There is nothing about his style that is a threat to any elite fighter! Mark my word the second he steps in the same zip code with an elite fighter he will be easily beat.

All that has proven is that he has power. It takes more than just power to beat the elites. Taylor has picked on a lot of blown up welters and jr. middles, but Pavlik has never come near fighters like Hopkins or Wright...

Here we go again............

In reality Pavlik has not yet gotten a ton of hype; and let's hope he never does. I'd favor him slightly over Miranda but I think Taylor would beat him.

So what he stopped Zercouche and Mcfart who the heck are they? Neither has fought any competition either. Zercouche for one didnt win 6 fights (4 defeats and 2 draws) in 24 fights aginst nobodies! He is garbage fighter not even good enough to be called a tune-up. And Mcfart lost to anyone that had a pulse (including THREE times to Winky Wright). Again who has KELLY fought other than babysitters?

And don't get me wrong I am not saying that Pavlik shouldnt have fans excited for what may be to come. (Even though I still don tunderstand that) But to say this man who hasnt been tested at all can destroy proven elite fighters like Jermaine taylor (who has never been stopped) Miranda and Winky Wright (p4p top 10). How is this not crazy to anyone that hears this?
