Ebo Elder retires!
28-year-old "Contender" series star Ebo Elder (22-3) has decided to hand up his gloves for good according to Times Herald sportswriter Will Blair. Elder is retiring to become an evangelist. "I'm done [with boxing]," Elder is quoted as saying. "It's not easy, but this is God's plan." In his career, Elder had wins over formidable fighters like Oscar Diaz and Courtney Burton, but lost his last two to Lavka Sim in an WBA eliminator and Michael "No Joke" Stewart in a first round bout of The Contender: Season Two.

Good decision by Ebo. He was only going to hurt himself if he kept boxing. Is it kind of strange that once he became a born again christian he started to get his ass kicked. Maybe god was telling him something.
