    Barrera-Marquez undercard disapointing

Yes, that's right. You have Demetrius Hopkins fighting Steve Forbes (who's coming off a loss) and Daniel Ponce de Leon fighting some blown-up Super Featherweight Phillipino by the name of Gerry Penalosa. Can you say WTF?

Are you telling me GBP could not do better than this? I know they like to feature their fighters on their cards, but come on! I mean, wasn't Jhonny Gonzalez, Steve Molitor, or Celestino Caballero (for the rematch) available?

The same goes for Hopkins. I'm sure Witter, Ngoudjo, Lazcano, Lovemore N'Dou, Randall Bailey, Chop-Chop, or even Eleazar Contreras would've been more than happy to fight him.

This seriously makes me not want to pay for this as I'd be paying for just one fight (all be it a very good one). Maybe I'll vote with my wallet and catch the re-run on HBO the following week.

Penasola from what Ive read and seeing him fight on a pac undercard,is on a sort of hot comeback-streak,I dont think he has a chance, but thats beside the point. He is known in the phillipines at least and has gotten some press,so I can understand why they got him.

but to adress your other points, Celestino Caballero has a fight next week I think, against castillo's younger brother, that fight has been scheduled for some time, and I think Jhonny Gonzales has a fight scheduled the week after that, both of those fights are televised on Solo Boxeo.

as long as Ponce is on the undercard,Im not gonna complain.
