WBO #1 heavyweight contender Sultan Ibragimov (20-0-1, 17 KOs) needed just 46 seconds to vaporize Javier Mora (21-4-1, 17 KOs) Saturday night at the Madison Square Garden Theater. Ibragimov dropped Mora almost immediately with a left hook and after Mora beat the count (barely), Ibragimov smelled blood and battered him back to the canvas as the carnage was halted. Ibragimov was slated to face WBO heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs, but Briggs caught pneumonia and that bout was delayed.

So he kept busy, fought, and still looked good enough to warrant a title shot- despite who his opponent was. Shannon should respect fighting bums to get a good KO- something he knows a bit about.

Hopefully Briggs will get over his pneumonia, or whatever it was he had, and fights soon.

I've always said Sultan is a top player in the division and I still believe it. Mora has never been stopped or knocked out before and Ibragimov accomplished the feat in less than a minute.

He might have well been fighting Sergio Mora.

Briggs will crush Sultan, if Austin can hurt Sultan, just imagine what will Briggs do to him, all Briggs needs is one clean punch!
