    Why boxing is "dead"

Everyone just wants to see wars these days. Everyone just wants to see guys trading knockdowns, gettin KOd, bleeding all over each other, and trading punches.

Nobody likes the sweet science any more. I do and im sure many of you do but the average joe doesnt. Like Floyd Mayweather. He schooled Baldomir and didnt get any credit at all. Mayweather gives guys boxing lessons.

Not every fight has to be a war. Boxing isnt just wars. Thats why I think its dumb when people get mad because a guy dances around and boxes. Thats part of the sport as well. But some guys do fight like pusys sometimes.

but people just dont enjoy the sweet science these days

Boxing isnt dead just the heavyweight division. Its only dead to the average joe who only thinks of boxing by what they see from the heavys. We are in the greatest era of little men that boxing has ever seen but America doesnt care much.

Let's get real. Everyone loves everything you mentioned. People can appreciate the sweet science. Can they get attached to it over the above mentioned? Most likely not. Anyone will choose KOs and everything you said over watching someone hit and not get hit while running around the ring to a decision. It's just natural and everyone I think is like that. You think someone will say they prefer that over watching someone get KOed? That's the drama and what makes boxing what it is and has been since it came to fruition <----Oh my, I never thought I'd ever use that word.

No, its just these guys who fight at a STAND STILL and claim they are boxing.

Or guys who throw 10 jabs a round and claim to have outboxed their opponent.

                Thats what people hate.

A good boxing match can still be a war.

Vazquez-Marquez was a Boxing match in every sense of the word. That wasnt a brawl at all. It was a war, but not a brawl.

Wright-Taylor is another example. Those guys Boxed for 12 rounds and it was wildly entertaining.

Thats what people want and expect. Not guys like Klitschko who will stand there and not do anything, not even attempt a counter. Or guys like Hopkins that do nothing BUT wait for the counter...
