I noticed it and have mentioned it several times. He gets away with it because he's so much faster than all of his opponents. Its one of the reasons that I would pick Floyd to beat him and Cotto to give him one hell of a fight.

shane is pretty much a one-handed fighter. flicking the jab is not going to beat floyd. cotto doesn't use a jab either and has been using his size to plow through the lighter weight fighters. I think he is even money with shane.
