What happened during the first 4 rounds of Judah vs Mayweather?

Hwat allowed Judah to win those 4 rounds?

Was Mayweather holding back? Did he want Zab to get overconfident?

Or did Zab just stray from his winning gameplan after round 4?

    floyd tried outspeeding zab
    zab was too quick
hit floyd with a right hand counter
and actually knocked him down (floyd's glove touched the canvas)
from then on (after round 4 or 5)...floyd adapted and came forward
with both hands up (like winky) and simply outsmarted zab
zab eventually ran out of gas and was unable to
    counter mayweathers change in strategy

I couldn't put it down to just one thing myself.

Judah seeed like he wouldn't be denied. He seemed like the better man.

My impression as it was unfolding was that it was a proverbial "style" surprise. It appeared Zab had just what was needed to completely neutralize Mayweather's arsenal. Floyd looked completely naked out there at times.

But like I've said before; once Mayweather got back in it you could see it was all a bluff. Zab was ********, and once he started to lose hands he folded.

The way that Floyd was walking into straight left hands, and the right hook that caused the KD were quite a shock for me.

But you could see Mayweather's determination, and even when Zab hurt him with that brick - you could tell Floyd would find a way to win.

It all had similarities to the scene in "Enter" where Bruce is losing and starts changing up his flow and finds a rythm. Floyd did something similiar. He shortened up his punches and started full body painting Judah with gloves.

He broke Zab like Bruce broke Chuck. But Chuck went out like a soldier.
Zab's story became some cheesy B-movie at that point..

Judah had a good start and fought a controlled fight early on and used his speed and southpaw style to good use.

PBF made adjustments, timed his straight right hand better, went to the body with consistency, and dominated from round 5 up until the 10th round low blow.

I think it was simply because that was the first time Floyd was facing someone quicker than himself...quicker on the release...being the smart fighter that Floyd is, he took his time...allowed himself to lose a couple of rounds while he used that time to adjust...eventually began timing his lead right hand and realizing he needed to walk Zab down and pressure him rather than trying to box him from the outside with speed...

it was all about adjustments and body shots...Judah got tired from body shots and pressure...I cannot stand people saying "oh he just automatically got tired...Judah has thrown more shots than that before...

judah won 2 rounds..by no means did he win the first four rounds, unless your a floyd hater then judah won four rounds I have seen haters give him five rounds. The fight was a whitewash. judah got dominated in rounds 3, 5,6,7,8,9,10,11

he was competitive in rounds 1,2,4,12 of the rounds he was competitive in I gave him rounds 4, 12.

                All Good Observations

It all came down to conditioning and ring smarts. Had that been a different fighter in Floyd's corner that night, Judah might've won decisively.

It's not very often that you see a fighter getting beat to punch then make a noticeable adjustment during the fight to pull out the win.

That fight should be added to the Boxing 101 class as required viewing: "Changing Your Strategy In The Heat of Battle". Aka: Scrap the game plan; think out of the box.

The low blow is a good strategy when you're tired and getting beat.

You'll just need to edit out the part where everybody and their mom goes nuts and starts throwing haymakers in the ring.

Floyd talked about his relationship with Judah. He said he and Judah had sparred and I guess Judging from his sparring sessions, they knew that Judah was a strong beginer but a terrible finisher. Like the person who starts something but never finishes the job. Like someone who has A.D.D. That is Zab Judah. Mayweather compared Judah to a race horse who starts off strong but gets beat in the final stretch or passed up in the poles. These are called front runners.
