Cotto is a heavy handed puncher, Mayweather isn't. What difference does it make?

Oh yeah? So what? Does that mean Cotto will stop Floyd?

Nah nah nah . . . definitely not. And I'm not suprised, because Cotto definitely has more power than Floyd.

          I must say..

I'm surprised Floyd's Dempsey like power had no effect on Sosa..

Mayweather was running his weewee sucker and said that Bob Arum is making Cotto fight people that he beat. Not entirely true.
So far there have been two.

            Sosa and Corley.

Both went 12 with Floyd and Cotto destroyed Sosa in 4 and Cotto made Corley take more knees than an altar boy.

Now he has to face Zab Judah and I guess Cotto will destroy Zab too.

My point is? Well, there are a few. Any one Floyd can beat, Cotto can beat better and faster.

Floyd was saying that Oscar De La Hoya is fake because he was fighting off of Tito Trinidads wins but Floyd only has 1 legitamate undefeated fighter he has beat on his record. Diego Corrales. Floyd went around beating fighters that Kostya Tszyu had already beat. So Floyd basicly did or is doing the samething he is accusing others of doing.

Cotto has like 7 undefeated fighters on his record.

I was asked what should we call the fight between Mayweather and De La Hoya?

I guess we shall call it the battle of the Frauds. Since Mayweather insists that Oscar is a fake and most of us know Floyd is a Fraud himself.

Battle of the Fruads and Fakes.

            Cotto 4 Life!

well many of Cotto's fighter didnt have power to rock him and only many of them after that did have successful run like Abdulleave and Pinto.

you make Cotto as if he is unbeatable but Cotto is power depend and when Mayweather is going to fight him is going to easily outclass him that is way Arum never put Cotto in the ring with Mayweather if Arum thought that Cotto was going to win Mayweather he would have put them there long time ago because his relation with mayweather is not that good

I like Cotto, and I don't like Mayweather but discounting Mayweather because Mayweather handily decisioned the fringe fighters that Cotto knocked out is not terribly useful. Especially when the Chop Chop fight was stopped extremely early (any fighter who takes a knee can be considered to be mentally aware enough to continue in my opinion) and DeMarcus also chicken-legged Cotto in the selfsame bout.

Cotto is too slow for Mayweather. If he can corner him he'll do some real damage but Mayweather would still be favourite for me.

The majority of fighters Cotto has faced do have power.
                  Just look at their records.

Except Malignaggi and Urkal but what they lacked in power they made up in heart and granite chins.

So you think Floyd will not retire after he fights De La Hoya? He has said it several times this week that this is his last fight.

A little early to retire if you ask me. He is still not the p4p champion in my list. He may have jumped up and snagged trinkets from old bums on his way up but he never beat anyone who posed a real threat.

I don't think he'll retire. If he does he'll simply announce a comeback in a year. If he retires without facing Hatton or Cotto then I don't think he'll be remembered as an all time great, especially if Hatton and Cotto go on to greater things or big matchups.
