I'd like to see this as a fun category in The Ring's yearly roundups. Personally, I love nothing better than a good showboat, though obviously it has to have payoff.
My winner for last year was Carlos Baldomir tapping his chin to Judah - just before giving us the delights of Chicken Dance II.
Sadly, when he did it later in the year against Floyd it didn't have the same payoff as he was getting his head boxed off. Without the pay off it just seemed quite futile and pointless, somehow. (tautology... futile IS pointless, right? Just checking you were paying attention).
At this early stage three months in I quite liked Michael Sprott demonstrating how frustrating his high guard was to Audley by opening the guard in the third round and jutting his chin out multiple times (ISTR sticking his tongue out as well) while pulling funny faces. The fact that thirty seconds later Audley was flat on his back with his right leg twitching made it all the sweeter.
