When was the last time we saw a realy heavy hitter with boxing skills? I'd have to say Mike Tyson was the best example of that in recent memory. Now its either a really good puncher with decent skills or a really good boxer with decent power but not an extreme example of both traits in one fighter.

ok. James Toney's got skills but he is a below average hitter at hw; Hearns was more of a puncher and lost to a boxer less of a puncher, in sugar ray; Naseem is more of a puncher and lost to a better boxer less of a puncher by comparison in Barrera; darchinian is a puncher havent really seen anything to suggest he anything other than a slugger; Pacquiao is a puncher that is gaining some boxing skills; etc. etc.

Ray Robinson had extreme examples of punching power and boxing skills.
I think Tyson had that combo as well. Lenox Lewis prolly had that combo but relied more on his boxing skills. JMM has that combo but relies more on his boxing skills.

Yeah it's good to be a puncher ask Manny Pacquiao. That straight left drops everybody and makes him the most exciting fighter in boxing.
