According to a report by Robert Morales of the Press Telegram, Mexican boxer Victor Burgos has come out of medically-induced coma and is responding to to doctors at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California. [details]

I know... Its a bad joke... There was a local very promising guy here who trained in Cotto's gym, he was trained by his father and Cotto's uncle, kid got in trouble over some chick and got shot in the head as he was walking out the gym. They performed brain surgery on him and as soon as the Doctors told his Dad the kid will be ok, the Dad's first question was will the kid be able to fight again....

I'm glad he's doing better. The IBF should've never sanctioned this fight since Burgos had only three fights at 112 and they were both bums. This is a testament to the curruption apparent in boxing today.
