of course weight.
the upper divisions have the advantage of power, reach, and chin.
the lower divisions have the advantage of agilty, speed only.
on overall the lower divisions dont stand any chance against the upper ones.
an interesting fight could be marzquez vs butterbean xD......Comment

I think it depends which fighters are fighting who. I truly believe that Marquez could beat Butterbean as he is so much more skilled, and after 5 rounds of running around he could beat him pretty easily with the jab. But could Pacquaio beat Rahman? I doubt it because the difference in skill, whilst still huge, is much less and Rahman's size and punch power would catch up with Manny eventually.Comment

To get to the root of the question: You will definitely get beat up so don't fight bigger kids that are picking on you.Comment

haha thank you. you basically answered my question... i didnt intend for the thread to become a debate on who vs who those were just examples.....im SURE there is lighter weight and height fighters who can beat larger opponents...and not just in boxing. theres this 1 muay thai guy thats small as **** and beats the crap out of much much much larger opponents i just forgot his name but hes all over youtube. anyways.. i kno there is weight classes for a reason i just wanted to kno how much of an advantage or disadvantage weight could be. thank u.Comment
Boxing is a sport that's why it's bounded by rules that will protect the participants. And fighters are categorized by weight for that obvious reason. Now you're asking if it matters?
