Who cares if he passes the record nobody takes him seriously his record is padded and his fights arent even shown on HBO or showtime and this is supposed to be a champion? The only thing he has is size and thats a huge factor because guys are intimidated by it. I thought this guy was pretty good when he was going up the ranks but when he couldnt beat Larry Donald and John Ruiz and was given gift decisions n fights where a lot of people tihnk he lost I dont think he is that good. If he steps up and fights real ranked contenders or any other of the champs I think a lot of peoples opinions will change and its a good start by fighting a guy like a Chagaev who happens to be the wba mandatory finally...

wlad would kill him easily, he better pray never to fight wladimir.

IMO all 3 of them would have their hands full with Valuev and are far from being guaranteed a win over him. He's got a great stamina and would win over Briggs easily on that, since Briggs cannot throw more than 1 punch at the time and that can't hurt Valuev. Peter would have one hell of a time trying to get to Valuev, I don't think his stamina would hold up for a long time, although it would be a pretty close fight. Wlad is a different matter but I think Valuev could put enough pressure on Wlad to make it a lot closer fight than most think. He's not unbeatable, nobody is, but he is certainly competitive and he is progressing with every fight.

Valuev is the worst mathcup out there for Briggs. Valuev has great chin and stamina. Even if Briggs can land a few big shots early, it won't mean too much.

But Wlad will outbox this big guy I hope. That would be about the most interesting matchup in boxing. Wlad fighting a bigger guy that he cannot hurt.

All I meant by my post was that I want to see him step up to bigger names before he gets to 49 wins. I think he would be difficult for anyone but prove it atleast, before getting to 49!

I don't see this cat losing(not loose like some of you type) anytime soon. I'd like to see DK try and feed Oliver McCall to this guy though. OM has a chin stronger than Wolverines claws and can hit. Mental breakdowns and crack binges that end in traffic violations aside I think The Abomb Bull has as good a chance as any puncher in starching the Russian Giant

Believe me, I'm with you on that. But I don't see them big names even mentioning Valuev in their daily "I want to fight other title holders" speeches. Besides, he is Don King's puppet now and I don't see any serious match ups for him until he is out of King's hands. Watch it guys, next thing we'll know after Chagaev, is that Evander, Golota, or whoever else is King's fighter (or willing to become one to get a shot) is getting a title shot against him.
