Edison Miranda vs Kelly Pavlik

The next big showdown at middleweight. The deal has been sealed according to Dan Rafael of espn.com. Miranda and Pavliks people agreed to a fight in the summer as long as Miranda beat Green which he did.

The fight will be a title eliminator, winner gets to fight Taylor in the fall.

I think this will be a hellaofalot better than the Green fight.

I honestly think they both can knock eachother out.

Pavlik vs Miranda will be a great fight.

I believe Pavlik is the better technical boxer but Zertuches was able to tag him with big shots. Don't get me wrong Pavlik is a hard hitter with both hands. But if Zertuche was able to get to Pavlik so will Miranda and with Pavliks stand up style I don't think he'll be able to aviod as many right hands as Green did.

If Miranda get his right hand in frequently, KO win. Other wise I think Pavlik will win with a 10rnd UD. Pavlik will probably hurt Miranda a few times and back him up. Could make for a great fight cause Miranda is like a bigger Morales when he gets hit he wants to hit you back harder and he has the killer instinct. But Pavlik doesn't back down either.

And I've never seen Pavlik hurt from a punch so this fight is really up in the air.

Kudos to Team Miranda for taking a Pavlik fight when they have every right to sit and wait for either an Abraham rematch or a Taylor fight.

Obviously he is still Abraham's mandatory, and as for Taylor, well other than Winky the next guy in line is Miranda.

This is what boxings about,the middleweight division is becoming one of the best,i dont know whos gna win,Pavlik can knock Miranda out,and Miranda can knock Pavlik out,Pavliks got more in his arsenal tho,and could work of his long jab to set up his knockout,both fighters will hit the floor IMO

I remember Zertuche being pretty wild swinging at times too. Pavlik gets hit, but the guy can crack. Maybe even harder than Miranda.

Yeah Pavlik has many more weapons than Miranda.

All Miranda has a long jab and a big straight right hand.

With proper schooling Miranda could be a more complete fighter than just a right hand crazy guy.

Should be a great fight!It could be either way.I guess it may come down to how good Pavlik's chin is.Because I could definetly see Kelly outpointing him.

I think Pavlik is an easier fight to win than Green was. Green has good movement and skills. He may have not gone on the offense, but he was hard to hit. Pavlik does not have good movement and worse defense than Green. Pavlik may even be willing to trade. Miranda by KO within 6 rounds.

And why do people still dont think Miranda can win on points??? He dominated Green on points and nobody thought that would happen. With his aggressive offense, it will be difficult for anyone to win on points. Maybe a guy like Winky, but there arent many.
