    Mike Tyson on PRIDE

PRIDE has officially announced plans for Mike Tyson to fight in the organizations New Year's Eve show.[6] Tyson would face a PRIDE fighter under boxing rules. Since Tyson is not allowed to fight in Japan because of his criminal record, PRIDE wants to stage the fight in an alternate country, possibly Macau, China. The fight would be broadcast live on large television screens in the Saitama Super Arena, where the regular mixed martial arts bouts will be held.[9]

I got it from wikipedia... is this true?

If so he better not make us look bad so the MMA folks say.. see a mma dude can beat a boxer! Tyson is washed up so I dunno how well he is gonna do but he better represent!

Tyson is seriously washed up. It'd be better if it were someone not as washed up with a good amount of power and an great technical boxing talent. I can practically hear the M.M.A ****s now.....

You know what I was thinking. It would be great if we got a prime boxer vs prime MMA fighter and had them go at it twice.. Once with MMA rules the other with boxing.. It would show A) that they are completely different and you can't compare them or B) The boxer us much quicker and better at punching that he KTFOs the MMA fighter before the fight can turn into a hump fest... lol

              "Boxing's baddest man got pwn3d!"

Like Tyson can still be considered a dangerous fighter anymore.

It should be Liddell and one of our comparable 200 pounders like Bell.

I'd like to see any MMA fighter take on a slick, cagey, technically taltented boxer. So many good boxers come to mind but I'd like to see Bernard Hopkins, Winky Wright or Floyd Mayweather Jr. take on an MMA guy in a boxing situation. It would be hilariously embarassing for the MMA guy.

However the same can be said about the boxer in an MMA situation. Hilariously embarassing.

Why not just take any popular MMA guy who's stand out style is boxing, and put him against a seriously gifted boxer. That would settle the debate on which strikers are better.
