VIC DARCHINYAN vs. VICTOR BURGOS
Darchinyan had won pretty much every round was feeding Burgos some nasty powerful shots all throughout. Burgos was game and very courageous trying to end the fight on his feet.
well, it would not happen, he was at last TKOd in the 12th and final round.
they took Burgos to his corner, and he had trouble sitting upright on his stool. Soon the paramedics arrived and took him to UCLA hospital on a stretcher. He has had successful brain surgery but is still in and out of coma.
OUR PRAYERS ARE WITH BURGOS AND HIS FAMILY.
and like others said, the ref, or Burgos' corner should have done more to protect Burgos.
Heart should not cause a fighter to go to brain surgery and coma.Comment

This was one of the few fights that I actualy cringed at some of the punches he was taking. Burgos was getting hit with Tommy Hearns like strait lefts from Vic. Loud loud punches. Punches that spun his head around so fast, I thought it was going to twist off.Comment
